RIYADH: The Roads General Authority (RGA) has launched the "Road Tent" initiative along the Hijrah Road, the route linking Makkah and Madinah, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance services for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The initiative aims to improve the travel experience for pilgrims by offering a rest stop equipped with air-conditioned tents, refreshments, and safety guidance.
According to the RGA, the tent provides visitors with cold drinks, snacks, and access to awareness materials focused on traffic safety, contributing to a safer and more comfortable journey between the holy sites.
The launch aligns with the Kingdom’s broader strategy to improve infrastructure and services during the Hajj season, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to enhance pilgrim care and hospitality.
